III Symposium of spirituality

This event doesn’t want to deal with religions and dogmas, but with something beyond that: Spirituality. However, in these years so devoted to the effort of Appearing instead of Being, it proves extremely difficult to talk about Spirituality, Essence or something Transcendent, hence the word Spirituality might not be understood in its proper meaning or even scorned.

Even just talking about religions is really difficult, considering the great deal of intolerance, discrimination and racism that in all times have filled mankind’s paths with ignorance and unawareness, which unfortunately does not leave us even in this new millennium.

And the reason for which we wanted to create this event in the event is the desire of letting people understand that every religion, faith, spirituality or belief system has a common base... a platform on which everyone can advance.

The most important thing is having a solid foundation built with a common method and standard. Then it is a choice of those building on such a foudation to decide whether they prefer to raise a cathedral, a temple, or a brothel, a hovel. Hence it should be an eternal and infinite platform.

This is a concept that may appear difficult to catch due to the unusual point of view on which it is based, but it is important to understand that the narrowness of the human mind is unable to conceive (except through subtle intuition) the idea of permanence or infinity, or the exact meaning of what we might call as the Principle or Essence.

Sometimes it is even incomprehensible the abused the term God too, or a more oriental concept: an Empty “All” which, as a matter of fact, is Full.

To better clarify the meaning of these limitations of ours, I’m quoting here a Brihadaranyaka Upanishad verse: “You cannot really know What makes the knowledge itself possible”.

And this is one of the limits of actual (physical) human mind, which isn’t able to understand things it cannot concretely have experience of.

Or else some explanation can be attempted, by trying, through logic dissertations, to exclude this or that (“not this”, “not that”), in order to have the perception of what cannot be ruled out .... of What remains, as non-excludable, solid, eternal, everlasting.

So this is the reason why the title is “RAYS OF ONLY ONE LIGHT”. And everyone can take any of these rays, and get to that eternal light which is common to all spiritual teachings. Leaning on a Form to reach a Formless Entity.

As the ways for getting to understand the Origin are as many as the individuals, so are even the Formless Entity’s forms (which might be called God, Allah, Brahman, Jehovah, Manitu, Zoroaster, Buddha, Jesus and so on).

It is the Principle Without Qualities, representing the aspects of Nature and of all what has been created. Nature in the global, universal sense. The consciousness, the concreteness and the energy. And everything, animate and inanimate, the human beings, plants, minerals, air, fire, water etc... are composed of these principles.

Then the forms are defined as such with their qualities, i.e. they have their own anthropomorphic characteristics and are a part of the manifestation. While the Principle, which is defined as “The One Without a Form” or “The Formless”, i.e. the Eternal Principle without qualities, is the FormLess, what has no concrete form.

So these are the various aspects of Nature, moods, qualities that nevertheless must be transcended, in order to be able to see beyond the form and to get to the Principle that has no form. But the mind, devotion, and limited vision need to lean on the form, which is used as a lever to raise one self’s awareness for reaching the concept of the Principle without a form.

As a consequence, it appears that the man and the various forms of the universe - such as plants, animals, minerals, etc. - are a single, unique Being ... a single breath, which through Perpetuity or continuous eternity is seen, known and ..., thus allowing at the end to dissolve in It.

And this is the basic characteristic allowing us to recognize ourselves in all tendencies, to feel as if we belong to a single great soul. So, this is a concept including all ideologies, religions, spiritual teachings, respecting all points of view and paths leading to the Centre, the Essence.
