Chai Pani, the culture of Indian tea

India is the tea world biggest producer and to MiticaIndia Festival could not be missing the Chai Pani (tea) ceremonial. Tea is so popular in India either as breakfast or as evening drink and it is often served as masala Chai with milk and sugar, and sometimes is scented. Tea leaves are boiled in water, while the milk is added later. Three are the most famous regions in India for black tea production, Darjeeling, Assam and Nilgiri. “Strong, heavy and the smell” are the three criteria for judging black tea. Darjeeling tea is known for its delicate aroma and light color, and is rightly described as “the champagne of tea”. Assam tea is known for its strong flavor and dark color, and Nilgiri tea is always dark, with an intense aroma.
