The Sari

At MiticaIndia Festival will be possible to see and wear the sari, the typical Indian subcontinent women’s dress. A sari is a strip of unstitched cloth, from four to nine meters long that is draped over the body in various styles. The most common style is to be wound round the waist starting with one end, then draped over the shoulder, exposing the belly. The sari is usually worn over a petticoat (Pavada or Pavadai in the south, and Shaya in eastern India), with a blouse, like the Choli or Ravika to form the upper garment.
